What changes the price?

Product complexity

The ingredient profile, mixture hazards, technical properties and number of distinct formulations can change the required assessment.

Quality of evidence

Complete supplier SDSs and dependable composition information help. Missing classifications or unknown properties can require more investigation.

The work requested

New authoring, review, revision and product families are different scopes. An existing file does not always mean a small edit.

Additional requirements

Laboratory testing, translations, transport documents and destination-specific work should be specified separately where relevant.

Example: one fragrance versus a range of fragrances

A private-label perfume with a well-defined formula and complete ingredient SDSs may be more straightforward to assess than a range of ten formulas with incomplete supplier records. A quote should state how many finished products it covers, which documents you provide, and whether variant grouping is technically appropriate.

What does the fee not guarantee?

An SDS authoring fee is not an OSHA certification fee. It does not include guaranteed marketplace acceptance, automatic non-dangerous-goods status, or testing unless explicitly included in the written scope. The finished product must be reviewed on its own merits.

How quickly can a document be prepared?

The current service page describes a typical 24–48-hour turnaround once the necessary product information is available. Complex cases, missing evidence and extra review may require more time; confirm the estimated delivery when requesting a quote.

Frequently asked questions

MSDS Bharat lists USD $99–$199 per defined product for standard Professional Authoring. The complexity and available product information determine the applicable quote.

For an unchanged purchased product, the supplier or manufacturer should be the first source for its SDS. New authoring is a distinct professional service and should not replace a valid supplier lookup.

Not by default. Ask for a separate scope when flash point, toxicology or other missing evidence requires independent testing.

Share the full product list and identify formulation differences. The service scope and pricing can then be assessed without assuming one SDS is suitable for every variant.

It can. Missing composition or hazard evidence may require extra research, follow-up, technical evaluation or testing. Request a final defined scope before approving the fee.

One correctly authored product SDS may be usable for multiple platform submissions when it meets each platform’s current requirements. Any special platform corrections or variants should be confirmed in the quote; acceptance is never guaranteed.

The published range applies per defined product for standard English-language Professional Authoring. If several SKUs share one unchanged formula, whether one SDS is suitable should be reviewed; multiple distinct mixtures may require separate documents.

Not automatically. An Amazon or TikTok rejection might involve a document defect, a listing mismatch or a prohibited-product rule. Provide the exact feedback so the review and correction scope can be priced accurately.

Yes. Prepare a formulation matrix with each concentration and ingredient difference. Where hazards or disclosure needs differ, individual SDSs may be necessary, but the author can scope common work efficiently.

No. Marketplaces control listing eligibility and may require other certifications, category approval or transport documentation. Paying for a technically sound SDS does not override those independent requirements.

Regulatory reference: OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. Applicability depends on the product and business role.
