Flat $120 SDS authoring · 24–48-hour delivery
Standard SDS authoring
USD $120 flat fee
24–48 hours
Per defined product and finished formulation, for standard English-language SDS authoring.
What the fee covers
Product-specific SDS
Defined 16-section document
Based on the technical information supplied for the finished product and its intended destination.
The standard 24–48-hour turnaround begins after complete product information is received and the authoring scope is confirmed. Additional laboratory testing, translations, regulatory localization or distinct formulations require separately agreed scopes. Marketplace acceptance is decided by the platform.
An SDS for a cleaning product should describe its finished formulation and supplied dilution. Identify surfactants, solvents, acids, alkalis, preservatives and any disinfectant-related claims; assess hazards using data and applicable OSHA rules before matching the SDS to the US product SKU.
Which cleaning-product SDS do you actually need?
The label “all-purpose cleaner” can mask meaningful composition differences. Cleaning-product documentation is most useful when the physical form, application and exact dilution are clear. Private-label buyers also need to distinguish a contract manufacturer’s existing formulation from a modified house-brand formula.
| Product family | Primary SDS questions |
|---|---|
| All-purpose surface cleaners | Ready-to-use versus concentrate, pH, surfactants, fragrance and solvents. |
| Glass and mirror cleaners | Alcohol/glycol ether content, ammonia or other alkalinity, vapor exposure and flammability evidence. |
| Kitchen and industrial degreasers | Solvent blend or caustic alkalinity, corrosivity, exposure precautions and material compatibility. |
| Bathroom and toilet cleaners | Acid composition, pH, skin/eye corrosion and incompatible chemicals. |
| Laundry/dishwashing products | Enzymes, concentrated surfactants, powders vs liquids and accidental contact. |
| Disinfectant-labeled cleaners | SDS hazard evaluation plus separate review of EPA-regulated antimicrobial claims. |
Why ready-to-use and concentrated cleaners cannot be assumed equivalent
A 1:10 field dilution is not inherently interchangeable with the neat concentrate. The final ingredient percentages, possible corrosivity and exposure profiles can change. Record whether your SKU is delivered ready to use, as a refill concentrate, as a powder or as a two-part system.
The SDS may need to cover the chemical as supplied; use dilution guidance without assuming that a dilution ratio automatically establishes a new mixture classification.
Hazard classification and technical evidence
Check the complete formulation and supplier SDSs, then evaluate hazards that may include skin corrosion, eye damage, irritation, acute toxicity, sensitization, flammability and relevant environmental or transport considerations.
Measured pH can be relevant to corrosivity, but pH alone does not settle every category. Buffer capacity, validated tests, component information and applicable classification criteria may also matter. Never declare “nonhazardous” because a product is marketed as eco-friendly or plant-based.
Use OSHA Hazard Communication Standard and its applicable hazard-classification appendices. For sanitation or disinfection claims, the EPA cleaning versus disinfection guidance explains a distinct regulatory boundary.
Documents to collect before authoring
- Finished-product formula with concentrations or defined ranges and batch/formula version
- Manufacturer, US importer or responsible-party details where applicable
- Supplier SDSs and identification of active raw materials
- pH, flash point and other reliable product tests or specifications when relevant
- Concentrate/ready-to-use status, dispensing method and intended use
- Brand/ASIN/SKU/variant names and actual packaging labels
- Any disinfectant/sanitizer claims, registration details and proposed claims for separate review
If a contract manufacturer gives you only an ingredient list without concentration data, request enough composition/hazard evidence to support the SDS. A branded PDF cover is not a substitute for mixture evaluation.
Where this guide branches into product-level pages
Use all-purpose cleaner SDS for neutral or general surface sprays, glass cleaner SDS for mirror/window formulations, and degreaser SDS for kitchen or industrial grease removal.
The Cleaning product SDS guidance addresses Indian-market document enquiries; this page focuses on US authoring requirements and US-market listings.
Amazon FBA and TikTok Shop cleaners
For marketplace submissions, the actual bottle and the SDS should tell the same product story. Check whether the cleaner is a spray, concentrate or refill; align manufacturer/brand identity and avoid confusing a raw-material SDS with the marketed finished mixture.
A clear SDS can support platform review but does not certify shipping status or guarantee a listing. Consult Amazon FBA SDS requirements and TikTok Shop SDS requirements for their separate workflows.
Request professional SDS authoring for your US product
Provide the formula, raw-material SDSs, US product identity and any marketplace request. Professional US SDS authoring is offered at USD $120 per defined product, for a defined product; final scope and turnaround are confirmed after reviewing the information supplied. No acceptance or transport outcome is guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
Does every household cleaning product legally need an OSHA SDS?
Not necessarily. OSHA HazCom applicability depends on the covered product and circumstances; a marketplace, distributor or commercial buyer may impose its own documentation request.
Can a private-label seller reuse the factory SDS?
Only if it genuinely describes the unchanged finished product and accurately identifies the required parties. Different concentrations or revised ingredients require review.
Is an SDS an EPA disinfectant registration?
No. An SDS communicates hazards. Sanitizing or disinfecting efficacy and registration requirements are separate matters.
Do cleaner fragrance variants need separate review?
Yes, changes in fragrance or other ingredients should be compared against relevant hazards. The reviewer can then determine appropriate document coverage.

Before requesting cleaner authoring
State whether you supply a concentrate or ready-to-use cleaner, identify the formula version and list available ingredient and finished-product evidence. Record different strengths as separate review questions rather than assuming a dilution uses the same document.
Your brief should include the intended market, requesting party and deadline. Keep confidential composition out of the public form; agree the appropriate transfer method during follow-up.
Standard Professional Authoring is flat USD $120 per defined product, with 24–48-hour delivery after complete technical information and scope confirmation. Confirm separately scoped work before ordering.
