Flat $120 SDS authoring · 24–48-hour delivery
Standard SDS authoring
USD $120 flat fee
24–48 hours
Per defined product and finished formulation, for standard English-language SDS authoring.
What the fee covers
Product-specific SDS
Defined 16-section document
Based on the technical information supplied for the finished product and its intended destination.
The standard 24–48-hour turnaround begins after complete product information is received and the authoring scope is confirmed. Additional laboratory testing, translations, regulatory localization or distinct formulations require separately agreed scopes. Marketplace acceptance is decided by the platform.
A reed diffuser SDS should address the actual fragrance-and-carrier blend sold in the bottle, with relevant flash-point and health-hazard evidence. An upstream fragrance oil SDS or diffuser base SDS supports preparation, but neither alone necessarily represents the finished diffuser mixture.
A finished reed diffuser is a different chemical mixture from its fragrance oil
A typical reed diffuser combines a scent concentrate with a solvent or carrier base. The finished liquid may contain glycol ethers, alcohols, other proprietary carriers or mixed bases. Its hazard profile depends on what is actually in that final bottle, not on whether the product is advertised as “alcohol-free,” “natural” or “non-toxic.” A supplier SDS for the fragrance concentrate and another for the base help establish ingredient hazards, but the final concentrations still matter.
Begin with the finished formula, weight-percent composition or suitable concentration ranges, product identifier, supplied volume and intended use. If the manufacturer does not disclose the full composition to the brand, obtain sufficient confidential safety information through an appropriate technical channel instead of extrapolating from a similar scent.
Reed diffuser SKU types and what changes in the assessment
| SKU format | Evidence to review |
|---|---|
| Ready-to-use diffuser bottle | Finished base-to-fragrance ratio, product identity, available physical properties and open-vessel use. |
| Refill pouch or refill bottle | Whether the liquid formula actually matches the original; revised packaging and marketplace identifiers. |
| Higher-strength fragrance diffuser | Concentration changes, sensitizing constituents and potential changes in physical hazard classification. |
| Alcohol-containing diffuser base | Reliable mixture flash point, volatility, ignition hazards and appropriate transport evaluation. |
| Gift set with multiple scents | Each distinct liquid's formula, fragrance ingredients and coverage under any proposed grouped documentation. |
Five fragrance variants with the same base are not automatically one SDS: a different fragrance concentrate can change skin sensitization or other mixture classifications. Conversely, different bottle volumes of a chemically identical blend do not automatically require wholly different hazard calculations. Documentation scope should be decided from the actual product identity, mixture data and recipient needs.
Flash point, skin sensitization and exposure: the technical priorities
Flash point is a measured physical property, not a figure safely assigned from an ingredient's percentage alone. For a solvent blend, request a finished-mixture result or reliable technical evidence appropriate to the classification decision. If the result is not known, treat it as an unresolved data need; do not insert a guess into Section 9 or declare the product non-flammable without a defensible basis.
For health hazards, review supplier ingredient SDSs and classified constituents for potential skin sensitization, irritation, aspiration hazard and other applicable endpoints. Then apply relevant mixture criteria rather than transferring every hazard statement from the concentrated fragrance to the diluted product. A reed diffuser can also have aquatic hazards; any applicable classification should be supported by composition and ingredient data.
The reeds and glass vessel affect use, packaging and exposure scenarios but are not substitutes for the liquid-mixture assessment. Distinguish the chemical product covered by the SDS from the nonchemical components in a retail kit.
What a US reed diffuser brand should provide
- Finished brand/product name, formula code, version, fragrance variants and volumes or refill SKUs.
- Actual weight-based composition or properly defined ranges, including fragrance concentration and base/carrier components.
- Supplier SDSs for every fragrance concentrate, carrier solvent/base and other relevant raw materials.
- Measured physical data when available, including flash point and density; label any values not established.
- Manufacturer/importer/responsible-party identification and US contact details applicable to the SDS.
- Packaging details (open-bottle liquid, sealed refill or kit) and the exact buyer/platform request.
If the final formulation is unavailable, start with the supplier who mixes the diffuser liquid. The SDS should identify the blend supplied, not substitute an online SDS for a different “diffuser base.”
Reed diffuser SDS for Amazon FBA and TikTok Shop US
Amazon may request safety data or an exemption document while assessing whether a product can be handled within FBA. TikTok Shop US specifically requires relevant safety documentation for certain chemical products and looks for a match to the product sold. A reed diffuser listing's name, scent, refill type and product package must be consistent with the submitted SDS and supporting description.
Start with the Amazon FBA SDS requirements guide or the TikTok Shop US SDS guide. If Amazon has rejected an SDS, use the Amazon SDS rejection checklist before resubmitting. An SDS does not certify that a product is eligible for FBA, air transport or a particular storefront.
Choosing the correct neighboring SDS guide
If your product is an undiluted fragrance oil or perfume concentrate, use the fragrance oil SDS guide. If it is a sprayable room or linen fragrance, see the room spray SDS USA guide. If you sell an alcohol perfume for the body, see perfume SDS USA. These are different finished formulations and should not be treated as interchangeable just because the same scent name appears on the packaging.
Request professional SDS authoring for your US product
Provide the formula, raw-material SDSs, US product identity and any marketplace request. Professional US SDS authoring is offered at USD $120 per defined product, for a defined product; final scope and turnaround are confirmed after reviewing the information supplied. No acceptance or transport outcome is guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
Can a fragrance oil SDS be used as my reed diffuser SDS?
Not automatically. An ingredient concentrate may have different concentrations and hazards than the finished diffuser liquid. Review the actual diffuser formula and supporting evidence.
Do reed diffusers always count as flammable liquids?
No. Classification depends on the finished mixture and reliable physical property information, including flash point where relevant. Do not infer a category from the marketing term reed diffuser.
Can a diffuser and refill share an SDS?
Potentially where the chemical mixture is identical and the document accurately covers the intended product identity; packaging and marketplace SKU requirements still need to be verified.
Does a diffuser SDS guarantee Amazon FBA or TikTok Shop approval?
No. A product-matched SDS supports platform review, but shipping and listing eligibility are decided by the platform under its own rules.
