Flat $120 SDS authoring · 24–48-hour delivery
Standard SDS authoring
USD $120 flat fee
24–48 hours
Per defined product and finished formulation, for standard English-language SDS authoring.
What the fee covers
Product-specific SDS
Defined 16-section document
Based on the technical information supplied for the finished product and its intended destination.
The standard 24–48-hour turnaround begins after complete product information is received and the authoring scope is confirmed. Additional laboratory testing, translations, regulatory localization or distinct formulations require separately agreed scopes. Marketplace acceptance is decided by the platform.
Glass cleaner SDS authoring should distinguish ammonia, alcohol and low-solvent formulations. Product pH, solvent percentage, available flash-point information, scent variations and packaging must correspond to the finished cleaner being sold—not an unrelated window-cleaner template.
Why not all glass cleaners belong under one SDS
A spray whose cleaning action relies on isopropanol or ethanol has a different hazard profile to a dilute ammonia-based product or a non-alcoholic surfactant spray. Even where two brands use the phrase “streak free,” their compositions and hazards may not match.
| Glass-cleaner format | Main assessment issue |
|---|---|
| Alcohol-based window spray | Solvent composition, available flash point, ventilation and flammability classification. |
| Ammonia-based glass cleaner | Ammonia content, pH, eye/respiratory effects and compatibility warnings. |
| Non-ammonia surfactant spray | Preservatives, surfactants, solvent traces, pH and relevant eye/skin hazards. |
| Glass cleaner concentrate | Neat blend versus final dilution and changes in hazard classification. |
| Foaming aerosol cleaner | Propellant/pressure packaging and distinct aerosol considerations. |
How to handle pH, ammonia and solvent evidence
Document the exact alkaline agents and available product pH; pH can assist hazard assessment but does not replace other classification evidence. For a solvent product, identify the actual alcohol or glycol ether content and distinguish finished-product measured properties from component-sheet values.
Do not insert “not applicable” for flash point or inhalation hazards without evaluating whether the property is genuinely inapplicable versus simply unavailable. Supplier SDSs are inputs, not definitive evidence of the finished product’s physical test values.
SDS information to request from the manufacturer
- Final recipe and mass- or volume-percentage basis
- Alcohols, ammonia, surfactants, preservative and dye details
- Relevant component SDSs and valid physical-test data
- Brand, product code, glass/mirror use, spray/foam/refill format
- Label, bottle size and any pressurized packaging information
- US supplier/importer identity and marketplace product identifiers
If the contract manufacturer supplies “glass cleaner base” and your brand adds fragrance or a solvent, document the finished mixture after the addition.
Compatibility and safe-use statements
Some ammonia-containing cleaners are incompatible with hypochlorite products. The exact warning language and handling instructions should be drawn from the supplied formulation, evidence and applicable guidance rather than using a generic “never mix anything” statement as a substitute for analysis.
Sections 7, 8 and 10 should align with the known hazards, storage conditions, exposure controls and stability or incompatibility information.
Amazon and TikTok Shop submission considerations
A brand switching from “ammonia-free” to an ammonia-containing SKU cannot assume its former SDS remains suitable. Reconcile product titles and formula IDs across the label, listing and SDS, and assess whether Amazon or TikTok specifically requests an SDS for that item.

Is your product really a glass cleaner?
A cleaner promoted for windows, mirrors and automotive glass may still be a general surface cleaner, solvent cleaner or industrial degreaser. The marketing application informs use instructions, but classification follows the supplied mixture.
Compare all-purpose cleaner SDS and degreaser SDS for different formula families.
Request professional SDS authoring for your US product
Provide the formula, raw-material SDSs, US product identity and any marketplace request. Professional US SDS authoring is offered at USD $120 per defined product, for a defined product; final scope and turnaround are confirmed after reviewing the information supplied. Frequently asked questions
Does ammonia-free mean non-hazardous?
No. Other solvents, surfactants or additives may contribute hazards. Review the actual finished formula.
Do I need a flash point for a glass cleaner?
Determine whether flammability is relevant and whether reliable finished-product data are available. Do not copy another formula’s flash point.
Can glass cleaner and all-purpose cleaner share one SDS?
Only if the documented formulation and hazards justify the same product scope; similar intended uses alone do not establish equivalence.
Should Amazon see the retail brand on the SDS?
The SDS and product listing should accurately identify the same product and responsible party, consistent with the platform’s documentation criteria.
