Flat $120 SDS authoring · 24–48-hour delivery
Standard SDS authoring
USD $120 flat fee
24–48 hours
Per defined product and finished formulation, for standard English-language SDS authoring.
What the fee covers
Product-specific SDS
Defined 16-section document
Based on the technical information supplied for the finished product and its intended destination.
The standard 24–48-hour turnaround begins after complete product information is received and the authoring scope is confirmed. Additional laboratory testing, translations, regulatory localization or distinct formulations require separately agreed scopes. Marketplace acceptance is decided by the platform.
A degreaser SDS should evaluate the exact solvent or alkaline system, supplied concentration and relevant product data. For caustic, solvent and ready-to-use variants, skin/eye effects, flammability and transport considerations must be assessed separately rather than copied from a general cleaner template.
Three different degreaser families
| Type | Primary classification questions |
|---|---|
| Alkaline/caustic degreaser | Sodium or potassium hydroxide, pH, buffering capacity, serious skin/eye hazards and metal compatibility. |
| Solvent degreaser | Hydrocarbon/oxygenated solvent content, flammability, inhalation effects and possible aspiration hazards. |
| Aqueous surfactant degreaser | Surfactant concentration, co-solvents, pH, preservatives and use-dilution evidence. |
| Automotive parts cleaner | Application-specific exposure, solvent identity and transport/flammability context. |
| Heavy-duty concentrate | As-supplied hazards versus ready-to-use field dilution. |
Two degreasers can serve the same kitchen or workshop yet have incompatible storage, protective-equipment and shipping considerations. Avoid substituting a broad category SDS.
Corrosivity is not just a pH label
Strongly alkaline formulations may warrant assessment for skin corrosion and serious eye damage. The actual pH, reserve alkalinity/acid capacity, ingredient hazards and available test results influence classification; no single marketing descriptor substitutes for an evidence-based determination.
Look for consistency among Sections 2, 8, 9 and 10: eye/skin controls, measured properties, incompatible chemicals and disposal advice should be supported by the product’s real hazards.
Solvent degreasers require different evidence
Solvent-rich mixtures may raise concerns about flammability, inhalation or aspiration, depending on composition and available evidence. Flash point must be assessed for the finished mixture, and Section 14 transport statements need their own review under applicable rules.
Do not treat “biodegradable” or “water-based” as automatic proof that every hazard category is absent; the complete formula still determines classification.
SKU checklist for degreaser SDS preparation
- Full formula with hydrocarbon solvents, co-solvents, alkaline builders and surfactants
- Product SDS files for each ingredient and formula/batch version
- Concentrate versus ready-to-use strength and mixing directions
- Available pH, flash point, density and other pertinent properties
- Industrial bulk drum, trigger spray or aerosol packaging
- Product brand, manufacturer, SKU, label and destination marketplace
- Any classification or rejection comment from a carrier or platform
If you sell a kitchen spray and a drum of concentrated degreaser, record both products independently before determining what document coverage each needs.
Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop and distribution
Industrial degreasers and strong household cleaners can attract safety-document requests. A technically accurate SDS does not override platform product restrictions or carrier transport rules. Match formula, brand and item details, and respond to the specific reason an SDS was rejected.
Review Amazon FBA SDS requirements and TikTok Shop SDS requirements. If the request comes from Amazon after a failed submission, start with Amazon SDS rejected.
Choosing the right finished-product guide
For a general consumer wipe-down product, consider all-purpose cleaner SDS. For ammonia or alcohol glass sprays, see glass cleaner SDS. The US cleaning-product SDS hub covers broader formula categories.
Request professional SDS authoring for your US product
Provide the formula, raw-material SDSs, US product identity and any marketplace request. Professional US SDS authoring is offered at USD $120 per defined product, for a defined product; final scope and turnaround are confirmed after reviewing the information supplied. No acceptance or transport outcome is guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
Is a degreaser always corrosive?
No. Corrosivity depends on the actual formulation and relevant evidence; solvent-based and surfactant degreasers differ substantially.
Can I use the SDS of my degreaser concentrate for the diluted version?
Not without evaluating the exact product supplied at each concentration and the applicable documentation scope.
Do all solvent degreasers have the same UN number?
No. Transport classification depends on the finished substance or mixture, its properties, package and applicable mode-specific rules.
Do I need laboratory testing for every new degreaser?
Not automatically. Determine required evidence from the classification and technical data available, and disclose material gaps rather than fabricating results.
