The same commercial product can face different documentation questions depending on formulation, package size, battery content and transport mode.
Physical properties
State, flash point, pH, pressure, corrosivity, reactivity and other properties where applicable.
Product form and packaging

Important classification limits
- A Non-DG statement cannot be based on guesswork
- The shipper remains responsible for correct declaration
- The carrier can request further documents or testing
- A document does not replace compliant packaging or labelling
- One transport mode’s conclusion may not answer another mode
- Acceptance by courier, airline or customs is not guaranteed
Dangerous-goods classification is a shipper responsibility and must be supported by correct product information. The final handling decision remains with the shipper, carrier and other parties applying the relevant transport rules.
