What this service covers
SDS preparation is based primarily on product hazards and intended market, not on a different GHS classification for each Indian state
For manufacturers and sellers across India, the correct document begins with the actual product or item and the purpose of the request. The document must match the product's identity, form and reliable underlying records, not merely the wording on a marketplace listing. We review what is available before confirming the appropriate service and deliverable.
Supplying outside India? Start with International SDS authoring services to confirm the destination-specific documentation scope. An Indian-market SDS should not be assumed to meet another market’s requirements.
What information is needed
Start with the following information: product identity, mixture composition, supplier data, physical properties, recipient requirements and destination. Existing test results, supplier documents and relevant technical specifications help establish what can be stated with confidence. If a critical value or classification is unsupported, we identify that gap instead of presenting a guess as a measured fact.
Product identity
Confirm the product name, manufacturer or responsible supplier, precise physical form and intended use.
Supporting records
Provide existing supplier documentation, laboratory or specifications data and customer requirements where available.
Destination and recipient
Share where the document will be used, including country, marketplace, importer, industrial customer or carrier.
Scope confirmation
Clarify whether you need a new document, an evidence review or corrections to a previously issued record.
How the review works
01 · Review the request
Read the recipient's request and confirm whether the proposed document actually answers it.
02 · Check source evidence
Verify formulation or product records and flag any missing properties or test results.
03 · Prepare the draft
Develop the relevant documentation with clear terminology and consistent product details.
04 · Resolve discrepancies
Review contradictions and outstanding questions before the final document is released.
Important product-specific considerations
Do not assume a state-specific certificate replaces a product SDS. State service pages describe access to authoring, not separate government approvals.
Risk classification or documentation acceptance should never be inferred from a product's name alone. The physical form, intended applications, source evidence and recipient requirements can change the proper treatment. Different versions or packaging formats may also call for separate reviews.
Where an SDS is appropriate, information about handling, storage, first aid and transport should be internally consistent with the hazard evaluation. Other documentary services have different evidentiary requirements; a safety data sheet is not a replacement for a test report, registration certificate or independent carrier approval.
Deliverables and pricing
Expected output: A product-specific 16-section SDS and a clear list of unresolved evidence needs. Final scope is confirmed after reviewing the documents you provide. For eligible India-market SDS authoring, published pricing starts at ₹3,999; non-SDS document services, testing, translation and specialist reviews require a separate confirmed quotation. No fee or approval is implied for missing laboratory evidence.
A technically grounded document can help answer an enquiry, but acceptance decisions remain with the requesting customer, marketplace, regulator or transport provider.
Frequently asked questions
What should I send first?
Send the product name, document request, existing technical data and recipient's stated requirements. We can identify missing information before drafting.
Can an existing document be corrected?
Usually, if reliable supporting information is available. Corrections must address the actual discrepancy rather than simply changing the issue date.
Is approval guaranteed?
No. Customer, platform and transport reviews may involve additional requirements beyond the document itself.
Can related products share documentation?
Only where the underlying composition, evidence, identification and applicable classification or test requirements genuinely support the same document.
Request a documentation review
Send the product description, supporting records and the request you received. We can confirm the correct scope and provide a quote without relying on unsupported declarations.
